Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an appealing history to the Cambodia casinos that reside just over the border from neighboring Thailand, where casino wagering is not permitted. Eight gambling halls are based in a generally small location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent location, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The phenomenal income gained from the gambling halls ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million, and there are a few controls requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is assumed to be largely Thai; although, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 1700, and even though visas are apparently necessary to pass, there are ways around this, as is accurate of many borders.

The initial Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving just one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored barge casino, highlights 150 slots and sixty tables. The Naga casino is open all day and night with forty two tables of mini-baccarat banque, four tables of blackjack, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are 150 slot machine games and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machines and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machines and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and ninety six gaming tables, including 87 baccarat (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and 66 of the normal tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight casinos in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-inclusive resort and hotel complex that highlights many luxuries aside from the gambling den, which offers 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 slots and 88 tables.
